Caprera en Patronaat presenteren: Leif Vollebekk
De Canadese singer-songwriter Leif Vollebekk liet zich in zijn tienerjaren inspireren door Bob Dylan, Neil Young en Lou Reed. Met die invloeden als basis kon hij als muzikant door de jaren heen een eigen stijl ontwikkelen. Het resulteert in liedjes met uit het leven gegrepen teksten gebracht door zijn karakteristieke stem, vol prachtig gitaar-en pianowerk. De muzikant uit Ottawa bracht sinds de pandemie insloeg twee korte EP’s uit. Zijn nummer ‘Long Blue Night’ is onlangs voorbij de 65 miljoen streams gegaan. Recentelijk bracht Leif zijn gloednieuwe album 'Revelation' uit dat verscheen bij Secret City Records, samen met de nieuwe single Moondog'. Met zijn nieuwe album belooft Leif Vollebekk opnieuw diepe indruk te maken en zijn publiek mee te nemen op een emotionele en muzikale reis.

A Lot To Give” an exciting new chapter for Hohnen Ford - her debut release on her new label home Giant Music, it serves as a follow up to critically acclaimed debut EP I Wish I Had A God. Known for her deeply emotive songwriting and expansive sonic worlds, she blends elements of jazz, folk and classic songwriting to create something wholly her own. Her unique interpretations of Great American Songbook standards have drawn admiration from artists including John Mayer, Tom Odell, Eloise, Tom Misch, Laufey, Matilda Mann, Bruno Major, Matt Maltese and Marcus Mumford With a background in jazz voice from the Royal Academy and a musical upbringing steeped in soul, classical, and campfire harmonies, Ford’s work is rooted in emotional honesty and bold vulnerability. She’s toured with Wasia Project and Orla Gartland, and will soon hit the road as a very special guest support for FINNEAS. Her latest work continues to build on the textured, introspective sound that’s become her signature, proving her not just as a voice to watch, but one that’s here to stay.
