Wouter Brave - 2018

Industrial Poetry is een lichtkunstinstallatie. Het is ooit ontwikkeld voor TenneT, het bedrijf dat in Nederland verantwoordelijk is voor het transport van hoogspanningsenergie. Door de samenwerking met dit bedrijf werkt Wouter Brave al een paar jaar met afgedankte isolatoren. Mooie, groene glazen schalen die in lange lijnen tussen kabels en masten hangen. Elegante industriële objecten die prachtig reageren op licht.

Industrial Poetry symboliseert de energietransitie en onze hoop op een schonere toekomst.

Over de maker

Wouter Brave is een in de Achterhoek wonende Amsterdammer en multidisciplinair kunstenaar met een lange staat van dienst. De afgelopen 10 jaar is hij actief als lichtkunstenaar, lichtarchitect en beeldend kunstenaar. In de periode 1981 – 2000 was Brave vooral werkzaam als uitvoerend kunstenaar, danser en choreograaf. 

Industrial Poetry 

Wouter Brave originally created this light art installation for TenneT, the company responsible for high-voltage energy transmission in the Netherlands. Through this collaboration, Brave has spent several years working with discarded insulators—beautiful green glass discs that once hung in long lines between cables and pylons. These elegant industrial objects respond beautifully to light, transforming into something almost ethereal.

Industrial Poetry symbolizes the energy transition and our collective hope for a cleaner future.

About the Artist

Wouter Brave, an Amsterdam-born artist now based in the Achterhoek, is a multidisciplinary creator with a long and diverse career. Over the past decade, he has worked as a light artist, lighting architect, and visual artist. From 1981 to 2000, he was primarily active as a performing artist, dancer, and choreographer.
